Some Believers . . .
Some believers struggle in their spiritual life due to a lack of knowledge of the Word of God. They pick up their Bible for the first time in a week when they go to church where they may hear a message without a single Bible verse explained or they don’t hear a word about Jesus. They do not spend time studying their Bible during the week. Because of their lack of knowledge of the Word of God they are not growing spiritually or bearing much fruit. They are not being a Godly example to their wife, husband, or children, a good example to their extended family, or in their workplace and among other Christians. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers understand more about the Bible and rejoice as they come to experience a closer walk with Jesus through understanding scripture and the promises of God that belong to them.
Some believers have been taught ideas that are not from Scripture. They have been taught to select certain Scriptures to confirm what they are taught to believe rather than let Scripture teach them what to believe. Some of the beliefs are based on a faulty translation of a verse or verses. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers understand some incorrectly translated verses and encourage believers to rejoice in their closer walk with Jesus because they see the verses translated correctly.. The Good News of Jesus is too good to not understand it as originally inspired.
Some believers try to impress God with their works, mission trips, giving and service performed on behalf of the church. They feel guilty because they don’t think they do enough good for God so they try harder at serving. They strive to establish their own righteousness through their works thinking God will love and bless them more if they work harder serving Him than others do. They grow spiritually fatigued, experience “burn-out” and lose heart. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers come to experience the Rest we have in Jesus and not suffer “burn-out.” As they learn to Rest in Jesus from all their labors they are encouraged and rejoice as they find inner peace resting in a closer walk with Jesus.
Some believers think they aren’t good enough to be loved by God and that God could never forgive what they have done in their past. What they don’t realize is that Jesus and His shed blood is sufficient for all their sins to be washed away when they believe, call on Him and trust in Him. And further more, God promises to not only forgive but to forget their sins. Our Heavenly Father forgives and forgets as part of His New Covenant with us. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers understand the New Covenant and how much God loves them by offering them such amazing forgiveness so they can rejoice in their closer walk with Jesus.
Some believers have the need to always confess their sins to feel forgiven. They are so sin conscious they always feel like they are condemned before God and can never deserve His love. That was my personal experience in my early walk with God because I was taught wrong too. My teachers, deeply involved in religious formality and works, didn’t understand the New Covenant and the Grace it brings through Jesus so how could they teach me? Believers don’t feel free or think they have enough faith in God to be saved. I never thought I had enough faith to please God in those early days of my walk because of false teachings. Believers often don’t realize how good God is, how much He loves them or how good the Good News Gospel about Jesus really is. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers understand what true confession is and rejoice in their closer walk with Jesus.
Some believers attend church services and may not get a sermon for weeks that address their spiritual needs. Some believers are not spiritually fed with teaching about Jesus. Believers hear a brief sermon message about the building program or a Bible story that has little relevance to the spiritual needs in their life. They don’t hear enough about Jesus in church sermons. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers understand the relevance of the Scriptures revolving around Jesus, concealed in the Old Testament and revealed in the New Testament. Then they will rejoice as they experience a closer walk with Jesus.
Some believers are spiritually starved and under nourished and they don’t know it. They feel defeated, discouraged and condemned and don’t know why. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers be spiritually fed and come to understand the Victory they have in Jesus to greatly rejoice in their closer walk with Him. Maybe it will also help pastors and Bible teachers to preach the Good News of Jesus more often.
Some believers are so wrapped up in keeping the Law to be pleasing to God they cannot receive the Grace He offers them through Jesus. When they read the Scriptures the message of Grace goes right past them. They read the words and they say they understand what God’s Grace means but it never pierces into their heart to really understand. I know. I understand how that can happen. I used to be a believer like that. Then I surrendered totally to the Grace God has made available to all believers in Jesus and the Scriptures came alive to me. I began to experience the life the Scriptures promise. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers to experience God’s Grace and the Life the Scriptures promise.
Some believers do not understand the power that rests within them as they profess to be a Christian. They do not understand all they are in Jesus. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers come to know all they are and all they have when they are in Jesus.
Some believers have been taught about God’s Grace from the beginning of their walk with God and they take it for granted not able to relish its true meaning for them. Like a person born wealthy never understands poverty. Some believers have recently come to understand God’s Grace but do not understand its full significance in their lives. Like a poor person who suddenly inherits extreme wealth and doesn’t know what to do with it. This Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” will help believers come to know the significance of God’s Grace and all that it means for them when they are in Jesus.
It is my hope and prayer that this Guidebook, “Marines for JESUS,” is a blessing to you and honors God and His Beloved Son, Jesus, who sits at His Right Hand. My purpose in writing “Marines for JESUS” is to help believers learn to follow Jesus in truth and find the victory, power, security, freedom and joy that a personal relationship with Jesus brings. Get ready for some joyous Good News.
Praise the Lord!
